Got back from Greenbelt about half an hour ago. Watched The Darjeeling Limited, a gem of a movie. People actually clapped after the film ended.
The story follows three estranged brothers -- Francis (Owen Wilson), Peter (Adrien Brody), and Jack (Jason Schwartzman) -- on a train after which the movie is named. They have not seen each other since their father passed away and Francis orchestrated the trip, which he intended to be a spiritual journey for all three. Things don't turn out as planned though.
As the movie progresses, the issues of each brother are gradually revealed. Francis just survived a horrible accident under suspicious circumstances; Peter seems to be having problems with his wife, Alice, who is about to give birth in a month; and Jack just broke up with his girlfriend, played by Natalie Portman, but can't seem to stop obsessing about her.
It's the kind of film one can watch at home with a steaming cup of coffee on a Sunday morning actually. It's not action-packed, and some people will probably find it boring, but those who watch movies for the characters will love it. It's low-key and kind of softly funny, if you get what I mean.
