It's Valentine's Day.

I expected the traffic to be bad on my way home from work today, but strangely, it wasn't. Tonight's traffic is actually lighter than during ordinary work days. I always walk home feeling kinda smug that everybody else is stuck in traffic (not very nice, I know, but there it is). I usually go home around 6:30, occasionally at 7 pm.

Not sure how many ladies at the office got flowers, but I know for a fact that a lot of people went home early, probably to celebrate Valentine's Day with their sweetie. Maybe that's why traffic is so light. Everyone who's smart has left already.

Happy Hearts' Day, my friends. Nope, I haven't got a Valentine, but for the first time in a long while, it's A-OK. I am truly well and have made my peace with someone who meant the world to me sometime in my past, and whom I hope to be friends with for a long long time in the future. :-)

I have actually been sleeping very deeply the past few nights (which kind of results in my being awake at the crack of dawn, and it's not always the cat's fault) but they have all been good sleep nevertheless.

Tomorrow is my last day at my current work place. Once more I feel both happy and sad at the same time (yes, the song was right -- "happy kind of sad" blah blah blah) because I have to leave talented people while I go back to the career path that I originally wanted. The job that I am leaving REALLY isn't the right fit for me, but the ride has been rewarding and fun.

Ciao for now. I'm off to watch Buffy at AXN Beyond.

sorry i couldn't be there on your last day. but it doesn't really feel like you're leaving, for some reason. it's like you'll just be out on field a lot of times. weird huh?

i'm taking a page from your book and cleaning up loose ends as well. i'm almost being superstitious about this. hahaha. i want no obstacles for the new stories. :)

Of course it's okay you weren't there. :-) Everybody was actually in a hurry to leave and being in Makati yesterday would have been a mistake. I heard traffic was bad by around 5-6:30 pm.

I'll see you later at the impromptu pizza party. Mogget will have to watch out and I have no objection to crawling under your bed to pet him. :-)
