Home Organizing Kick.

It is a little weird that this is happening at the same time as another friend of mine is doing her own home decorating tasks, but maybe it's something in the planets.

I've started doing the organizing thing over a month ago, mostly prompted by the fact that my sister is moving in with my dad, and I had to help out in deciding what stuff from our childhood to keep, to throw away, or to donate.

I've bought a bookcase already, but I need another one. Plus I need a filing cabinet, and I've already found a shop that I'll be visiting on Saturday. And then maybe I'll buy a rug or something.

Related to the organizing bug, I recently discovered the Pedias.

Bruji's Pedias is a set of cataloguing software exclusively for the Mac platform that is meant to inventory your books, games, DVDs, and CDs, quite similar to Delicious Library. Since I recently bought an external iSight webcam, I can use it to scan the barcodes of all my stuff, and then have a neat catalogue for them in my computer, complete with all the information I will ever need about exactly what it is I own. I will post a review of Bruji's Pedias (Bookpedia, CDPedia, etc.) this weekend. I've already put all the software through its paces and will definitely buy them before the week is out.

I was previously considering trying out Delicious Library but found that they no longer support Tiger, among other things. More on that when my review on the Pedias come out.

Ok, gotta get back to work.

Ciao for now.
