Just had a lunch meeting with my soon-to-be-employers today. They're very nice folks and have just advised me of my itinerary for next week. Apparently, I'll be in Cebu from Tuesday to Saturday rather than until Thursday only. There are some people there I need to meet.
Talking with them, I get the feeling I'll be traveling back and forth from Makati to Cebu a lot. This means I really need a laptop with me -- a light laptop. My 12-inch iBook is 4.9 pounds (I checked the specs sheet from when I bought it; I thought it exceeded 5 pounds) but feels much heavier after a whole day of being lugged around with all the other stuff I have in my bag. I have to keep switching shoulders when I bring it to work, and my shoulders usually get so sore, I have to get a massage right after.
So today, after my lunch meeting, and after getting my barangay clearance, I popped into Senco Link to talk to my contact there. They still don't have the Macbook Air on display but I already told her I'm planning to purchase one by end-April, and will she please text me when they have it on display already so I can take a look? This means I'll be out by about 100k (including accessories and software, and maybe a new bag? Hehehe) by my birthday. Yikes. Aargh, never mind, I NEED IT.
Still need to upgrade Ally's hard drive to 80 gb. I'll do that once my cash flow regularizes a bit.
